Lauren is a Jamaican poet and English teacher. She earned her master’s in creative writing from the University of Oxford, and her work has received an Oxbelly Fellowship, a Helen Zell and Jamaica Poet Laureate’s Young Writers Prize for Poetry, a Grindstone International Poetry Prize, and a Pushcart nomination. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Cortland Review, The Ekphrastic Review, Ekstasis, DMQ, Stand, The Scores, and various anthologies. She currently lives and teaches in Connecticut.

Alas, I do not have social media. The reasons for this are many and varied. Despite the fact that my reply speed is best described as glacial, I would love to hear from you, so please use the contact form above. I have walked on a glacier only once: the Perito Moreno in Argentina. One of the many colours inside that ice was a blue unlike any I have seen before or since.
