Lauren is a Jamaican poet and English teacher. She earned her master’s in creative writing from the University of Oxford, and her work has received an Oxbelly Fellowship, a Helen Zell and Jamaica Poet Laureate’s Young Writers Prize for Poetry, a Grindstone International Poetry Prize, and a Pushcart nomination. She currently lives and teaches in Connecticut.

Alas, I do not have social media. The reasons for this are many and varied. Despite the fact that my reply speed is best described as glacial, I would love to hear from you, so please use the contact form above. I have walked on a glacier only once: the Perito Moreno in Argentina. One of the many colours inside that ice was a blue unlike any I have seen before or since.
